Community Engagement
A fundamental component of The Sinai Community Health Survey 2.0 involves working with the community to ensure that the data gathered will benefit local efforts and assist residents in improving health and well-being. In order to formally engage communities, we assembled a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) to guide the development of the survey instrument and project. This process ensured that survey topics and questions were relevant and appropriate for the diverse communities being surveyed.
Now that the survey data has been analyzed, we are organizing multiple community events in partnership with community organizations to help disseminate the results. In this way, community members will have access to the information needed to obtain funding and create programs to address pressing health issues. Additionally, we will continue to partner with community organizations whenever possible to translate the survey findings into meaningful action in their communities.
